Stephen Viner has a held various leadership roles in both London and Hertfordshire, within main stream and special educational needs settings. In 2010, he took the challenge of an overseas appointment and joined the British International School, Al Khobar (BISAK) as Head of the Senior School. In 2015, he had the honour of becoming BISAK’s Principal. He has enjoyed every moment of his time at BISAK and the challenges it brings in an international setting. During his time at BISAK, he has overseen both the expansion of their school and the move to their new campus in the August of 2019, after 5 years of pain staking planning and preparation. In 2019, he was awarded the Pearson, Principal of the Year for Saudi Arabia for his work at BISAK and his work within the local community of Al Khobar. He is very proud of his school’s achievements and the passion in which all his staff fulfil their roles to support their pupils’ development, especially at this most complex time.
Stephen currently sits on the Executive committee of the Association of British Schools Overseas (AoBSO) promoting the work of quality British education which has been inspected and validated by the Department of Education in England through the British Schools Overseas Inspection scheme (BSO).
